About Us

Sharing the waterways of East Texas, one paddle at a time.

Our Story

Riverbend Outfitters was born out of a deep love for the remarkable waterways of East Texas. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to experience the peace and beauty of paddling through ancient cypress forests, spotting wildlife around every bend, and disconnecting from the rush of everyday life.

Based in the Piney Woods region, we offer kayak and canoe rentals on some of the most scenic and ecologically rich waterways in the state — from the winding channels of Caddo Lake to the cypress-lined corridors of Big Cypress Bayou. Whether you're a seasoned paddler or picking up a paddle for the very first time, we'll set you up for an unforgettable day on the water.

We keep things simple: quality equipment, honest advice about current conditions, and a genuine passion for this place we call home. Come paddle with us.

We're passionate about getting people on the water — full stop. If we're not the right fit for your adventure, we're happy to point you toward other outfitters in the area who might be. The river belongs to everyone, and we want you to have the best experience possible.

Where We Paddle

Big Cypress Bayou

Wind through towering bald cypress trees draped in Spanish moss on one of East Texas's most iconic waterways. The Big Cypress stretches from Lake O' the Pines all the way to Jefferson, offering paddlers a journey through living history.

Little Cypress Bayou

A quieter, more intimate paddle through dense cypress forest. Wildlife sightings are frequent — look for herons, egrets, wood ducks, and the occasional alligator sunning on a log.

Black Cypress Bayou

Dark, tannin-stained waters give this bayou its name and its mysterious beauty. Excellent birding and a true sense of wilderness just minutes from town.

Caddo Lake

The only natural lake in Texas, Caddo is a labyrinth of cypress-lined channels, open water, and hidden sloughs. A paddler's paradise and a birder's dream.

Lake O' the Pines

A beautiful reservoir with miles of shoreline to explore. Excellent fishing, abundant wildlife, and open water that's perfect for a relaxed full-day paddle.
